My Journey

Milestones and moments that shaped my career

1

2010

The Spark

Watched Enthiran (Robo) and fell in love with the idea of building technology that impacts lives.

2

2019

Foundation

Completed HSC with Computer Science focus, learning programming fundamentals and problem-solving.

3

2021

Deep Dive

Started M.Sc. Integrated Computer Science at Pondicherry University, studying algorithms, data structures, and software engineering.

4

2022

First Real Project

Built my first functional application - a live cricket score management system in C++. Started learning modern web development with React.

5

2023

Learning & Building

Created academic projects: Car Showcase app (VB), Placement System SRS, KM Laboratory portal. Learned TypeScript, Next.js, and mobile development.

6

2024

Production Breakthrough

Shipped Dengue Connect — government-deployed by ICMR-VCRC × Government of Puducherry for the DREAMS’24 dengue-prevention program in schools. Started freelancing in August. Building real applications for real users.

7

2025

Building SaaS

Developing SaaS products: KMS (workforce management with paying clients), Nivarthi (healthcare platform), VirtuBooks, Knowledge Minds Scheduler, and this portfolio.

8

2026

Graduated

Completed M.Sc. Integrated Computer Science at Pondicherry University. Continuing to ship — SaaS work, freelance projects, and deeper investments in animation and 3D for the web.

How I work

Six things I’m strict about

Specific rules, each anchored to a real project. The kind of calls I’ll make on day one.

01

Ship before polishing

Dengue Connect went into school field testing while the dashboard was still rough. The data flow was what mattered — the chrome could be iterated.

02

Boring tech beats novel tech

Next.js, Postgres, Firebase across every shipping project. I save my decision budget for the product, not the framework choice.

03

Own the full stack

From Android client to PHP backend to SaaS frontend — I build solo when I have to. Short bug-fix loops, no handoffs.

04

Honesty over headline numbers

This portfolio dropped a “10,000 users” claim the day I checked the Play Store. The partner attribution is what’s real; the number wasn’t mine to claim.

05

Live URLs beat private polish

Two live sites (dengueconnect.in, koorumahey.com) carry more weight than ten private repos with prettier code nobody can verify.

06

School and shipping in parallel

M.Sc. finished alongside real production work — government deployment, SaaS with paying clients, freelancing. Academic reps + production reps, not sequential.
